Mike Meling

Vice President of Operations

Mike Meling is the Vice President of Operations at Womack Restaurants. He’s responsible for leading the strategic direction of the Popeyes brand. Mike joined our company in August of 2003 as a District Manager for IHOP. He quickly moved up in the IHOP brand to be the Director of Operations. He held this role until Womack Restaurants sold the IHOP franchise in September of 2014 and purchased a group of Popeyes restaurants in Kansas City, Missouri. Mike helped expand our market to dozens of locations across the Midwest, including Oklahoma and Indiana. Mike is an accomplished restaurant veteran, bringing more than 30 years of restaurant operations and management experience to the Popeyes franchise. Mike has a Bachelor of Science degree in Restaurant Management from Southern Illinois University, where he was also the President of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.
